1. Strict Safety Protocols & Energy Isolation
- Completely shut down main power supply and engage lockout/tagout procedure.
- Ensure all residual hydraulic pressure is safely released and the machine is fully stopped.
- Wear heavy‑duty gloves and safety goggles to prevent injuries from sharp metal edges.
2. Accessing the Cutter Assembly
- Clear the compression chamber of any remaining metal scrap.
- Unbolt and remove protective safety guards and covers around the cutting mechanism.
- Use compressed air or brushes to thoroughly clean the blade mounting area.
3. Precise Blade Removal & Installation
- Use correct wrenches to loosen and remove fastening bolts securing the old blades.
- Carefully extract worn blades, noting their original orientation.
- Align new blades perfectly with mounting holes and install in the exact same direction.
- Tighten fastening bolts evenly and securely to prevent shifting under extreme pressure.
4. Final Calibration & Operational Testing
- Verify the clearance between upper and lower blades; adjust gap per manufacturer specifications.
- Reinstall all safety guards and remove lockout devices.
- Test with an empty cycle to confirm smooth and safe operation before resuming full production.
