1. Low Speed & High Torque Shearing
- Works through two counter‑rotating shafts fitted with interlocking cutters.
- Shafts rotate at low speed and deliver high torque.
- Reduces material mainly by shearing and tearing instead of high‑speed impact.
- Suitable for bulky, tough, and mixed waste.
2. Material Feeding & Cutter Biting
- When material enters the shredding chamber, rotating cutters bite and pull it downward.
- Material is repeatedly cut between adjacent moving cutters, fixed side cutters, and cutter spacers.
- Hollow, elastic, and fibrous materials are also torn apart because cutters grip them from both sides.
3. Size Reduction & Discharge Control
- After being sheared into smaller pieces, material falls through the discharge area under gravity.
- Final particle size influenced by cutter thickness, cutter spacing, shaft speed, and whether a screen or downstream equipment is used.
- Without a screen, output is usually coarse and irregular.
4. Intelligent Control & Overload Protection
- Most units use a PLC control system for start, stop, forward rotation, and automatic reverse.
- If a hard object or overload is detected, shafts reverse automatically to release material.
- Protects cutters, gearbox, and motor.
- Control logic helps the shredder run more safely and continuously.
