1. Y81 Series Is Designed for Steel Offcuts
- Y81PTZ belongs to the Y81 series hydraulic scrap baler family.
- Widely used to compress steel scrap, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, and other metal waste into furnace charge bales.
- Steel offcuts such as sheet metal remnants, stamping blanks, edge trim, and light structural pieces are typical feed materials.
2. Material Form Determines Suitability
- Thin steel offcuts, light plates, cuttings, and hollow sections are generally suitable for Y81 balers.
- Very thick steel blocks, heavy forgings, or oversized structural steel may exceed the press box limit or require pre‑cutting.
- Fine steel chips and oily swarf are better handled by a chip briquetting press.
- Ordinary scrap balers are not always optimized for cutting fluid separation and fine chip compaction.
3. Pressure & Chamber Size Must Match the Offcut Type
- Ability to compress steel offcuts depends on nominal force, press box size, bale size, cycle time, and expected bale density.
- Light offcuts can be baled by lower tonnage models.
- Dense or thick steel remnants usually require higher pressure and a larger chamber.
- For export buyers, the PTZ model configuration should be confirmed before quotation.
4. Confirm PTZ Specification Before Purchase
- Exact steel offcut capacity should be verified from the official technical data sheet.
- Request the recommended material list, maximum piece size, bale density range, motor power, PLC control details, and safety protection.
- Without the official PTZ specification, only the general Y81 series application range can be used as a reference.
