1. Typical Y81 Bale Density Range
- Y81 series hydraulic scrap balers usually achieve a bale density between 1,800 and 2,000 kg/m³.
- Density depends on model, pressure, and material.
- Some higher tonnage models can reach 2,000 kg/m³ or more.
- Y81PTZ should be checked against the manufacturer data sheet, as PTZ models may differ from standard Y81 versions.
2. Material Type Affects Final Density
- Steel scrap, aluminum scrap, copper scrap, and thin sheet metal do not compact to the same density.
- Light aluminum profiles, cans, and hollow sections usually give lower density than heavy steel plate.
- Oily, wet, or mixed scrap may also reduce bale density.
- Air and liquid remaining inside the bale lower the final density.
3. Machine Pressure & Chamber Size Matter
- Bale density depends on nominal force, press box size, bale size, and cycle design.
- A larger compression chamber with higher hydraulic pressure can usually produce denser bales.
- Adjustable bale length affects weight per bale.
- It does not always increase density if the material itself is bulky.
4. Confirm PTZ Data Before Quotation
- For export inquiries, request the official Y81PTZ specification sheet.
- Key items to confirm: bale density, bale size, nominal force, chamber size, cycle time, motor power, and material suitability.
- Without the exact PTZ data sheet, only the typical Y81 range can be used as a reference.
