Crocodile Hydraulic Shear Operation Guide
Equipment Inspection
- Verify all components are in proper working order
- Check hydraulic system for leaks (hoses, fittings, cylinders)
- Inspect shear blades for sharpness, cracks, or misalignment
- Ensure blade fastening bolts are securely tightened
Note: Dull or damaged blades can cause uneven cuts, increase energy consumption, and pose safety risks.
Operational Environment
- Clear work area of debris and flammable materials
- Ensure adequate lighting and ventilation
- Place machine on stable, level surface
- Verify power supply matches machine's voltage requirements
Personal Safety
- Wear appropriate PPE: safety goggles, heavy-duty gloves, steel-toe boots
- Use flame-resistant clothing when necessary
- Remove loose jewelry or clothing
- Test emergency stop buttons before operation
- Post clear safety warnings around the machine
Warning: Never operate the shear without proper personal protective equipment.
Operational Procedures
- Review operational procedures before starting
- Adjust hydraulic pressure for material type/thickness
- Set proper blade gap for material being sheared
- Conduct test run with scrap material
Proper machine settings prevent equipment damage and ensure quality results.
