1. Overload
Each Metal Shear has its specified shearing capacity, including the maximum thickness, width and hardness of the metal that can be sheared. Never shear beyond the rated load of the equipment, otherwise it may cause damage to the tool, overload and wear of the transmission parts, or even cause the equipment to malfunction or damage.
2. Shearing unsuitable materials
Although Metal Shear can handle a variety of metal materials, not all materials are suitable. For example, some special alloys with ultra-high hardness or ultra-toughness may exceed the shearing capacity of the equipment, and forced shearing will cause serious damage to the tool and equipment. In addition, non-metallic materials generally cannot be sheared with Metal Shear, because they may not achieve the expected effect and may also damage the equipment.
3. Ignore the surface condition of the material
If there are impurities, oil stains or sharp protrusions on the surface of the metal material, it should be cleaned or polished before shearing. Otherwise, these impurities may affect the shearing accuracy, oil stains may cause the tool to slip, and sharp protrusions may damage the tool edge.
4. No preheating or precooling treatment
For some special metal materials, preheating or precooling treatment may be required before shearing. If the corresponding treatment is not performed, defects such as cracks and deformation may occur during the shearing process due to thermal expansion and contraction of the material or internal stress problems, and the wear of the tool will also increase.
5. Lack of regular maintenance
Regular maintenance cannot be ignored when using Metal Shear. If the metal debris and dust on the equipment are not cleaned in time, the transmission parts are not lubricated on time, the wear of the tool is not checked and replaced in time, etc., the performance of the equipment will be reduced, the failure will occur frequently, and the service life of the equipment will be shortened.
6. Illegal operation
Operators must use Metal Shear in strict accordance with the operating procedures. It is prohibited to clean, repair or adjust the equipment while it is running to avoid accidents, personal injury and equipment damage.
