1. Check the hydraulic oil:
Oil level: Insufficient hydraulic oil is a common cause of insufficient pressure. You need to check the hydraulic oil level gauge first. If the liquid level is lower than the lowest scale line, add hydraulic oil that meets the equipment requirements to the normal liquid level. When adding, be careful to prevent impurities from mixing into the oil.
Oil quality: If the hydraulic oil has not been replaced for a long time or is contaminated, it will also affect the pressure. If the oil becomes black, turbid or has an odor, the hydraulic oil needs to be replaced in time, and the oil tank and filter need to be cleaned to ensure the cleanliness of the hydraulic system.
2. Check the oil pump:
Working status: Start Metal Baler and listen to whether the oil pump has abnormal noise. If so, it may be that the internal parts of the oil pump are damaged, such as gear wear, blade breakage, etc. The oil pump needs to be disassembled for inspection and repair, and a new oil pump needs to be replaced if necessary.
Oil suction condition: Check whether the oil suction pipe of the oil pump is blocked or leaking. If the oil suction is not smooth, the oil pump will not be able to supply oil normally, thereby affecting the pressure. You can clean the impurities in the oil suction pipe, replace the damaged seals, and ensure that the oil suction pipe is well sealed.
3. Adjust the overflow valve
If the set pressure of the overflow valve is too low, the system pressure will not meet the working requirements. According to the equipment manual, you can use professional tools to slowly adjust the set pressure of the overflow valve, and observe the value changes of the pressure gauge at the same time to adjust the pressure to the working pressure range specified by the equipment. But be careful not to blindly increase the pressure to avoid damaging the equipment.
4. Check the hydraulic cylinder
The hydraulic cylinder is a key component for generating pressure. Check whether the piston seal of the hydraulic cylinder is damaged. If the seal is aged, worn or cracked, it will cause hydraulic oil leakage and pressure drop. At this time, a new piston seal needs to be replaced. In addition, check whether the cylinder barrel of the hydraulic cylinder is worn or scratched. If so, it may affect the normal operation of the hydraulic cylinder. The cylinder barrel needs to be repaired or replaced according to the degree of wear.
