Horizontal Baler Maintenance Procedures
Cleaning and maintenance of the Horizontal Baler must follow the standard process, starting from component cleaning, lubrication maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure the efficient operation of the equipment:
1. Compression Chamber & Pusher Device Cleaning
-
Initial Preparation:
- Complete shutdown and power disconnection
- Remove residual materials (waste paper, plastic fragments)
-
Cleaning Methods:
- Use high-pressure air for adhered materials
- Wipe with damp cloth (no water on electrical components)
Critical: Never rinse electrical components directly with water.
Seal Inspection: Check pusher plate seal strip wear and replace aged parts to prevent material leakage.
2. Hydraulic System Maintenance
-
Hydraulic Fluid Care:
- Clean tank filter regularly
- Replace if emulsified/blackened (every 1-2 years)
-
Connection Maintenance:
- Check for oil leaks at joints
- Tighten loose connections
- Clean with kerosene to prevent dust buildup
3. Transmission Components Maintenance
-
Cleaning Procedure:
- Remove oil/debris with brush
-
Apply appropriate lubricants:
- Special lubricating oil for gears
- Engine oil for chains
-
Chain Adjustment:
- Maintain 1-2cm droop
- Avoid excessive tightness or looseness
4. Electrical & Safety Systems Check
-
Control Box Maintenance:
- Dust with dry soft cloth
- Check for loose terminals
- Prevent moisture-related shorts
-
Safety Device Testing:
- Verify emergency stop button function
- Test overload protection system
Safety First: Ensure all safety interlock functions operate normally before returning to service.
