Horizontal Plastic Film Baler Cleaning Guide
Cleaning a horizontal plastic film baler after use is crucial for maintaining its performance, extending its lifespan, and ensuring safe operation. Follow these steps to effectively clean the machine.
Disconnect power supply: Eliminate electrical hazards by disconnecting power. Never attempt cleaning while the baler is powered on.
Remove debris: Clear any remaining plastic film or debris from the feeding chamber and compression area. Use a gloved hand or soft-bristled brush—avoid sharp tools that could damage components.
Clean compression areas: Wipe down the compression plate and chamber walls with a damp cloth or sponge soaked in mild detergent solution. Pay special attention to crevices where film fragments accumulate.
Hydraulic system care: Clean accessible hydraulic components with lint-free cloth. Use specialized degreaser (not water) to dissolve stubborn grease and prevent corrosion.
Ejection mechanism: Check the ejection mechanism and conveyor belt for debris. Clear trapped film pieces with a brush, then wipe surfaces dry. Ensure belts are free of sticky residues.
Inspection and lubrication: After cleaning, inspect all parts for wear or damage. Lubricate moving components as specified in the user manual. Wipe down external surfaces.
