Safety FirstCompletely shut down the machine and disconnect the power supply before starting any adjustment work to prevent accidental startup and ensure operator safety.
-
Access & PreparationOpen the machine’s access panel to expose the blade assembly. Clear all residual materials or debris from around both moving and fixed blades to ensure unobstructed operation.
-
Locate Adjustment MechanismIdentify the adjustment screws or bolts connecting the fixed blade holder to the machine frame. These allow for precise tuning of the distance between the blades.
-
Perform AdjustmentUsing appropriate tools, loosen the locking nuts. Incrementally turn the adjustment screws to move the fixed blade closer to or farther from the rotating blades. Ensure adjustments are made evenly on both sides of the assembly.
-
Measure & VerifyUse a feeler gauge to check the gap between the blades, matching it to the required specification for your material. Make minor adjustments as needed.
-
Secure & TestOnce the desired gap is achieved, retighten all locking nuts securely. Close the access panel, reconnect power, and run a material test to verify shredding quality.
