Preparations Before Adjustment
First, stop the machine and disconnect the power to ensure it is in a completely stationary and safe state, avoiding the danger of sudden starts during adjustment.
Clean the blade surface and surrounding area of material residue and oil to prevent impurities from affecting adjustment precision and operational safety.
Always ensure the machine is powered off and locked out before beginning any adjustment procedures.Prepare the necessary adjustment tools and consult the equipment manual to familiarize yourself with the location and operating principle of the blade gap adjustment mechanism.
Check the blades for wear, chipping, etc.; if damaged, repair it first to avoid affecting the gap adjustment effect.

2
Blade Clearance Standard Confirmation
The blade clearance needs to be determined based on the material type and thickness of the material to be sheared.
Softer or thinner materials require slightly smaller clearanceHarder or thicker materials need appropriately increased clearanceRefer to the equipment manual for the corresponding material type and clearance compatibility requirements to clarify the target range for this adjustment.
A feeler gauge can be used to initially measure the current blade clearance to determine the adjustment direction and range, avoiding blind operation.

3
Precise Adjustment Operation
Locate the clearance adjustment mechanism on the side of the machine or where the blades are fixed, usually an adjusting screw or knob.
Using a special tool, slowly rotate the adjusting component, maintaining smooth movement during rotation, while repeatedly measuring the blade clearance with a feeler gauge, gradually approaching the target value.
During adjustment, ensure that the clearance on both sides remains consistent to avoid uneven clearance on one side, which could lead to tilted shearing surfaces and material deformation. If jamming occurs during adjustment, do not force it; check for obstructions or worn parts.

4
Post-Adjustment Verification and Completion
After the clearance adjustment is complete, tighten the locking mechanism to prevent clearance changes during operation.
Restore the equipment power, select a small amount of material to be processed for a test shearing, observe the flatness of the sheared surface, and check for burrs, twisting, or other defects in the material.
If shearing effect is unsatisfactory, stop and readjustClean work area and adjustment tools after completionFinally, record the material type and corresponding gap parameters used in this adjustment for future reference in similar processing.
